As Canada Economist at Capital Economics, David is responsible for the firm’s Canadian macroeconomic publication service. He joined Capital Economics in September 2010 from the Bank of Canada, where he worked in the Canadian Projection and Policy Analysis division. He has more than 10 years of experience in forecasting and conducting analysis of the Canadian economy.
Before joining Capital Economics, he has held economist positions at the Bank of Canada, Export Development Canada and the Conference Board of Canada.
As a respected economic commentator, he is regularly quoted in the national press and often interviewed on radio and television.
David earned a masters degree in Economics from University of Victoria (Canada) and an undergraduate degree from Waikato University (New Zealand).
